Youth centre Pesä is the place for 13–20-year-olds in the basement of Johkula-talo, with pool, game consoles, a band room, a kitchen and sofas for just hanging out.

- In June and July Pesä moves outdoors: Retkipesä goes paddling, cycling or to the sauna on Wednesdays with local businesses.
Summer jobs
Every summer the municipality employs 40 local 15–17-year-olds for two-week periods in parks, the library, the beach and local tourism businesses. Applications in March.
Youth council
The 9-member youth council can speak at council and committee meetings. Thanks to its initiative, the climbing wall at Johkula Sports Hall is free for under-18s.
