The hirer
The hirer must be an adult and is responsible for the event, order and keeping within the venue's maximum capacity.
Cancellations
- Festival hall and Council Chamber: free up to 30 days before; 14–29 days before 50 % refund; less than 14 days before no refund.
- Meeting rooms, sports slots, hut and harbour shelter: free up to 48 hours before.
- Equipment: free up to 7 days before.
- Gym cards are non-refundable, but a pass can be frozen with a doctor's certificate.
Cleaning
Leave the venue as you found it: rubbish in the marked bins, chairs and tables back in place. If not, final cleaning of €120 is charged.
Alcohol
Serving alcohol must always be declared on the booking form and requires a licensed caterer. No alcohol at children's and youth events.
Damages
The hirer is liable for damage to the venue and equipment. Equipment is checked on return.
Cancellation by the municipality
In exceptional cases, such as water damage or elections, the municipality may cancel a booking. The payment is then refunded in full and we offer an alternative venue.
