Johkula Library is the village's living room. Borrow books and magazines, but also snowshoes, hiking poles, ice-fishing gear and in summer a SUP board. A library card is free for everyone, including summer residents and visitors.

- Sports equipment loans: snowshoes (10 pairs), hiking poles, ice-fishing kits and a SUP board (Jun–Aug). Loan period 7 days.
- Computers, printing and scanning
- Reading Room: a group room for 8 that you can book free online.
- Story time for children every Wednesday at 10
