Johkula Sports Hall at Urheilutie 3 is the municipal sports centre, with a divisible sports hall (basketball, floorball, volleyball, futsal), a gym, an 8-metre climbing wall, changing rooms and saunas.

- Sports hall by booking Mon–Fri 15–22, Sat–Sun 9–21 (school use during the day)
- Gym daily 6–22 with a door code
Sports slots
Book the full hall or one third. Children's and youth groups play free. Resident price €30/h for the full hall and €12/h for a third, standard price €60/h and €25/h. Seasonal slots are allocated twice a year; spring 2027 applications are open until 31 Oct 2026.
Gym
10-visit card €40 and 6-month pass €120, residents €30 and €90. Students, pensioners and conscripts half price. The door code arrives by email.
Outdoor sports
42 km of ski trails (8 km lit), an ice rink in the village and a skating track on Lake Johku in Jan–Mar when conditions allow. Trail and ice reports are updated by 8 every morning.
